Well, friends
'tis the time for goodwill toward others and a roaring good time for yourself. i am on the organizational committee for Erika's Hula for Hope, a Luau & Fundraiser for The University of Michigan's Comprehensive Cancer Center. This is an event in honor of my boss and friend Erika, who, less than one year after getting a kidney transplant, found out she had ovarian cancer. and THEN found out that she had a second, unrelated mass of cancer in the uterus.

my point is, the woman has been through a lot, and you'd all love her.

yes, i made it.

now that i've got the website complete (mostly), my job is to look for auction items (including services) and sponsors for the event. so, if you or your workplace have anything to contribute/donate, send me an email/comment and i will contact you/your boss/your mom/whomever. even if it's small, we'll take it.

i myself have done an elephant-themed baby gift basket with crocheted blanket, hat, little outfits and toys. i will also contribute a cake or two for people to bid on. so, see? little things make a difference.
